Perseverance

Take a moment to listen to this man's incredible testimony that probably highlights more than anything, perseverance. He is a shining example of how we should not give up on ourselves but more so than that, we should not give up on God. When things do not seem to make sense sometimes we have to ask ourselves that one question.....do we trust God? and then second to that are we willing to persevere through all that weighs us down to be the best that we can be in God.

> 'We have a choice to be angry at what we don't have or thankful for what we do have'
> 'God can heal without changing the circumstance'
> 'There is no point healing what's in the outside when you're broken on the inside'
                                                                                                                    - Nick Vujicic
1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”- (John 9:1-5)(NASB)
How often have you felt like you were trapped in a situation, place, broken body etc...and you have just wanted to give up. Nick is a prime example of how perseverance mixed with trust in God can overcome all that stand before us and ultimately result in ourselves being the best that we can be.
To overcome an obstacle you have to realise where you are and to visualise yourself overcoming these obstacles. To focus on the things we do have and using what we have to the best of our abilities.  - Nick Vujicic
We are prone to make mistakes but we are also prone to ask 'why' is this happening to me. That's natural and that's understandable but the biggest challenge is whether we are going to be overcome by our circumstance or choose to TRUST God and PERSEVERE even when it feels like we are not getting anywhere. When we stumble we can choose whether to just lay where we are or get back up and try again. Don't give up on yourself.....
23If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; 24 though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. - (Psalm 37:23-24)(NIVUK)
